HK leader delivers annual address

As Hong Kong's Chief Executive Leung Chun Ying delivers his annual policy address today, one topic hanging over the city is the outlook for the yuan business amid speculation that the currency could weaken further and affect the Dim Sum bond market. He is also under pressure to fix a litany of social and political problems, including the disappearance of five booksellers who are feared to have been detained by the authorities in mainland China.


NLB partners Autism Resource Centre

The National Library Board (NLB) is offering employment opportunities to people with special needs through a partnership with the Autism Resource Centre (ARC).

At the newly opened Digital Services Centre, ARC beneficiaries digitise and catalogue NLB's historical archives and library collections.

Minister for Communications and Information, Dr Yaacob Ibrahim, will visit the centre today.


Topping out of S'pore's tallest building

Developer GuocoLand will celebrate today the topping out of Tanjong Pagar Centre, Singapore's tallest building at 290m. The ceremony will be officiated by Minister for National Development Lawrence Wong.
