May in talks with Merkel over Brexit

British Prime Minister Theresa May will be in Berlin today for a meeting with German Chancellor Angela Merkel. Mrs May is hoping to clinch a deal next month for a transition period that would smooth Britain's exit from the European Union.


Iranian leader to meet Modi tomorrow

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani is scheduled to hold talks with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi tomorrow in New Delhi. Mr Rouhani is on a three-day visit to India, his first to the country since taking charge in August 2013.


Showcase of artworks at Istana

This year's Chinese New Year Istana open house will have an added significance. The event tomorrow will see President Halimah Yacob launch the President's Challenge Memorabilia - a collaboration between the President's Office and various social enterprises to showcase artworks of scenes within the Istana. The Istana grounds will be open from 8.30am to 6pm, with the launch taking place between 3.30pm and 5.30pm.
