Najib to meet Jokowi in Indonesia

Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak embarks on a three-day working visit to Indonesia today for the 11th Annual Consultation between Malaysia's premier and Indonesia's president, as well as the 12th World Islamic Economic Forum. It will be the first meeting between Datuk Seri Najib and Indonesian President Joko Widodo under the annual consultation framework.

Awards for raising patient safety level

A new award will be launched today to recognise healthcare workers who have shown exemplary efforts to raise patient safety standards and prevent unsafe practices within the SingHealth group. The Target Zero Harm award will go to 10 individual winners and two winning teams. The awards will be presented at the SingHealth Nurses’ Day celebrations on the Singapore General Hospital campus, where Health Minister Gan Kim Yong is the Guest of Honour.

Leading companies to report results

Singapore's corporate results season is in full swing, with profit figures due out this week from leading lights such as Sembcorp Industries, StarHub, Resorts World Sentosa owner Genting Singapore, and Perennial Real Estate Holdings. Investors will be hoping the stock market will stabilise after it lost ground late last week over offshore services firm Swiber Holdings' financial woes.

Correction note: In an earlier version of the What's Next item, it was said that Health Minister Gan Kim Yong will present the Target Zero Harm awards at the SingHealth Nurses’ Day celebrations. SingHealth has clarified that Mr Gan did not present the awards. He attended the celebrations as Guest of Honour.
