US doubts warlord Kony negotiating surrender

WASHINGTON (AFP) - US officials on Thursday voiced scepticism that wanted Ugandan warlord Joseph Kony is in negotiations with the Central African Republic over his surrender, saying the reports were not "credible."

While the country's president Michel Djotodia is believed to be in talks with a small group of fighters from Kony's Lord Resistance Army, "we've no reason to believe that Joseph Kony is part of these negotiations," a senior US official said.
