US A-G to testify on Russian meddling

United States Attorney-General Jeff Sessions will face questions about the firing of Federal Bureau of Investigation director James Comey and undeclared meetings with Russian officials, at a US Senate hearing today.

Mr Sessions will be the highest-ranking member of President Donald Trump's Cabinet to answer questions about alleged Russian meddling in last year's presidential election.


Conference on synthetic biology at NUS

Researchers from around the world will be in town at the Synthetic Biology Conference, which is co-organised by the National University of Singapore this year. Among them are the brains behind inventions such as apples that can resist browning and yeast that can produce painkillers. More than 70 speakers will deliver presentations on their research.


Spotlight on private resale home data

The performance of private resale homes is expected to come under scrutiny today with the release of Singapore SRX Property's private non-landed housing index for last month. April's data showed that resale prices of non-landed private homes were flat, compared with March's data.
