FLORIDA - A hospital in Jacksonville has come under fire after disturbing photos of its staff members handling newborns appeared on social media on Monday (Sept 18).

One photo showed a female employee making a baby dance to rap music, while another showed her showing the middle finger to a baby with the caption: "How I currently feel about these mini Satans."

Facebook user Denisa Shellito shared the offending photos in a post, which has since garnered over 321,000 shares.

Naval Hospital Jacksonille, in a Facebook statement on Monday, said they are aware of the photos, slamming them as "outrageous, unacceptable, incredibly unprofessional, and cannot be tolerated".

It added that two employees identified are not nurses, but junior enlisted corpsmen.

"They have been removed from providing patient care and they will be handled by the legal system and military justice. We've notified the patient's parents."
