WASHINGTON - US President Donald Trump's unconventional style was evident on Thursday evening (March 8) in Washington, as South Korean officials, without any American officials at the microphones, announced outside the West Wing at the White House that Mr Trump had responded positively to an invitation from North Korean strongman Kim Jong Un to meet.
This would be the first meeting between a sitting US president and a North Korean leader and by far the most high-stakes foreign meeting in decades for an American president.
