A young boy got trapped in a claw machine full of stuffed toys in Florida earlier this week after reportedly crawling in through the toy dispensing flap to get a plushie he wanted.

The Titusville Fire and Emergency Services Department in Central Florida shared photos of the encounter on Facebook, showing the young boy inside the machine, surrounded by stuffed animals and crying.

The boy, identified only by his first name Mason, was at the Beef 'O' Brady's restaurant with his mother and friends for dinner, CBC News said in a report on Thursday (Feb 8).

Thankfully for him, an off-duty fireman from the Titusville fire department, Lieutenant Jeremy House, was having a meal at the restaurant and got another diner to call 911, ABC News reported.

Firefighters from a nearby station arrived and helped extricate him from the machine.

"He went in, but obviously he couldn't come back out the same way," Battalion Chief Gregory Sutton told the Associated Press.

Facebook user Ken Mullins asked the question that was on everyone's minds: "Did he at least get his stuffed animal?"

The fire department answered: "Yes... He did!"
