OTTAWA (AFP) - Canada's top diplomat Stephane Dion on Tuesday (Dec 8) publicly chastised United States Republican presidential front runner Donald Trump over his anti-Muslim comments.
"It's something that we cannot accept in Canada," Mr Dion told reporters outside Parliament.
"We have never been as far (in Canada) from what we've just heard in the United States," he said. "No political party could approach... what was said in the United States."
Mr Trump, who currently leads the Republican presidential polls by double digits, has called for a ban on Muslims entering the country.
