KIEV (AFP) - Ukraine's general prosecutor said on Friday the Kiev would ask Moscow to extradite ousted President Viktor Yanukovych, who is thought to have fled to Russia and is expected to give a press briefing there later in the day.

"Ukraine's general prosecutor intends to ask for citizen Viktor Yanukovych, who is wanted on an international level, to be extradited if his presence in Russia is confirmed," the prosecutor's office said in a statement.
