Snowden receives document allowing him to leave Moscow airport: Lawyer

MOSCOW (AFP) - Fugitive US intelligence leaker Edward Snowden has received a document allowing him to leave the transit zone of a Moscow airport where he has been holed up for over a month, his Russian lawyer said Thursday.

"I have just handed him the documents from the Russian Federal Migration Service. They allow him to leave the airport," said his Russian lawyer Anatoly Kucherena, quoted by the Interfax news agency.
