REPEAT - Norwegian schools shift exams for Justin Bieber concert

OSLO, Norway (AP) - Norway's Ministry of Education and Research said five schools in the western part of the country have rescheduled mid-term exams in order to allow students to attend Justin Bieber concerts in Oslo.

The Canadian pop star is scheduled to perform in the Norwegian capital on April 16 and 17, stoking fears that some students in remote schools will skip mid-term exams due to take place at the same time.

The ministry said on Wednesday that five schools in the Alesund region - located some 375km north-west of Oslo - have rescheduled exams to accommodate students' wish to attend Bieber's concerts.

Minister Kristin Halvorsen said schools have the right to change dates for mid-terms exams, and that the ministry does not intend to intervene.
