Quake of magnitude 6.3 strikes off Papua New Guinea

PAPUA NEW GUINEA (REUTERS) - An earthquake of magnitude 6.3 struck off the Pacific Ocean nation of Papua New Guinea on Tuesday (Jan 26), the US Geological Survey said.

The earthquake, about 169km south-east of the town of Rabaul, hit at a depth of 46km. There were no immediate reports of damage or casualties.
