Prince Harry tours storm-damaged shore in New Jersey

SEASIDE HEIGHTS, New Jersey (AP) - Britain's Prince Harry continues his tour of New Jersey towns hard hit by Superstorm Sandy with a visit to Seaside Heights.

The summer resort town is where the MTV reality show "Jersey Shore" was taped.

It's also where Sandy hurled a roller coaster into the sea and damaged an amusement pier.

The prince and New Jersey Governor Chris Christie were greeted by firefighters and police.

Earlier, Prince Harry and Mr Christie shook hands with police and first responders during a half-hour visit to Mantoloking.

The governor showed the prince where a breach caused by Sandy allowed the Atlantic Ocean to cascade into Barnegat Bay.

The prince could not believe a house once stood on the spot.
