WASHINGTON (AFP) - US President Barack Obama will head to Asia next month on a four-nation tour that will include his participation in the Apec summit, the White House said on Friday.

Obama will visit Indonesia, Brunei, Malaysia and the Philippines from Oct 6-12, White House spokesman Jay Carney said in a statement.
