IAEA meeting on Iran nuclear deal

The International Atomic Energy Agency's 35-member board of governors will meet today in Vienna to learn details of how the organisation will monitor the July 14 nuclear accord signed between Iran and world powers. Without IAEA confirmation that Iran will stick to the deal, the country will not be granted much-needed sanctions relief.


Cyber-security experts gathering here

More than 30 data privacy and cyber-security experts are in Singapore to discuss how businesses and governments can manage risks and stay ahead of data breaches and hacking at the inaugural Data Privacy Asia 2015 conference. Mr Leong Keng Thai, chairman of Singapore's Personal Data Protection Commission, will deliver the opening address.


Awards to kick off IP Week @ SG

Minister for Law and Foreign Affairs K. Shanmugam and Dr Francis Gurry, Director-General of the World Intellectual Property Organisation, will present awards to 10 local enterprises which have achieved excellence in the fields of trademarks, patents and designs. The presentation will kick off the official opening of IP Week @ SG today.

Mr Shanmugam will also be presenting the inaugural Trade Mark Awards.
