Sky taxis to take flight

Pilotless drones capable of carrying a person will begin to soar through Dubai's airspace in July.

The country is using a Chinese-made drone, the Ehang 184 Autonomous Aerial Vehicle (AAV), which can carry a passenger weighing up to 100kg for a trip of about 30 minutes.

The egg-shaped aircraft hovers using eight propellers - two attached to each of the drone's four arms.
