Iraq forces reach key Mosul bridge

BAGHDAD (REUTERS) - US-backed Iraqi forces on Monday (Feb 27) captured Mosul's southern-most bridge across the Tigris river, according to military statements.

Once repaired, the bridge could help bring army reinforcements and supplies from the eastern side of the city, piling pressure on militants dug in on the western side.
