ALEPPO (Reuters) - Residential areas become the front line in the battle for control of Aleppo.
Syrian military video shows government forces clashing with rebels in western Aleppo.
Rebels have launched an assault on the west in an effort to lift a siege on the eastern half of the city where some 275,000 civilians and some 8000 rebels are reportedly surrounded by forces loyal to Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.
The UN says more than 40 people have been killed and many more wounded by rockets indiscriminately launched by non-state armed groups on civilians in western Aleppo.
And the fight goes on as a UN spokesman says all sides fighting over Aleppo may be committing war crimes through indiscriminate attacks in civilian areas.
