The Iraqi town of Qayyara has been engulfed by dark clouds after Islamic State militants set fire to many of the region's oil wells when they abandoned the area a week ago.

QAYYARA, IRAQ (Reuters) - Residents of the northern Iraqi town of Qayyara complain of black smoke billowing from oil wells set ablaze by retreating militants of the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) as life gradually gets back to normal.
