DUBAI (AFP) - Bahrain said Wednesday (Jan 6) it had dismantled an Iran-linked "terror" cell that was planning attacks in the kingdom, amid a growing diplomatic crisis between Gulf states and Teheran.
The cell - allegedly linked to Iran's Revolutionary Guard and Lebanon's Teheran-backed Hezbollah militia - was planning to carry out a "series of dangerous bombings" on the tiny Gulf island, Bahrain's interior ministry said in a statement.
