Istanbul bombing accidentally captured on musicians' video performance

Two young men making music inadvertently caught on tape one of the twin explosions outside a football stadium in Istanbul that killed 38 people on Saturday (Dec 10) night.

One man was singing, while the other strummed the guitar, when a bright flash appears in the cityscape behind them.

British news outlet The Independent reported that the man filming can be heard saying "there was an explosion", and as the others turned to look, the sound of the blast hits them, causing them to jump up off the bench.

The video, published on Youtube on the day of the attacks, has attracted more than 1,700 views after a day.

The car bomb detonated outside the home stadium of football giants Besiktas after a Super Lig match between Besiktas and Bursaspor, and less than a minute later, a suicide attacker blew himself up near a group of police at a nearby park.

The Turkish government has blamed Kurdish militants for the attacks.
