Israeli PM warns of another Holocaust from Iran

WARSAW (AP) - Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says the upcoming Iranian election will "change nothing" in the Islamic republic's quest for nuclear weapons.

Mr Netanyahu said on Wednesday in Warsaw that the regime will continue to pursue a bomb that aimed to "annihilate Israel's six million Jews".

"We will not allow this to happen. We will never allow another Holocaust," he said, alongside Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk.

The comments come a day before Mr Netanyahu is to inaugurate a new pavilion at the former Nazi death camp of Auschwitz. Iran insists its uranium enrichment programme has peaceful goals.

The Nazis carried out the Holocaust to a large extent in occupied Poland. In recent years, Poland has become one of the friendliest states to Israel.
