Modi on two-day visit to Spain

Mr Narendra Modi is on a two-day tour of Spain today, making him the first Indian prime minister to visit the country in almost three decades.

He will meet Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy and seek Spanish investment in Indian manufacturing at a business forum.


Tech solutions at robotics event

Robotics and automation technology are the focus of an exhibition that opens today at Marina Bay Sands.

Robotics researchers will also present their work at the three-day IEEE International Conference on Robotics and Automation.

Japan to release April retail sales data

Japan will release data on its April retail sales today - an aggregated measure of sales of retail goods and services. Retail sales in Japan had increased 0.2 per cent in March over the previous month. Year-on-year data unexpectedly rose 2.1 per cent in March from a 0.1 per cent increase in February - the highest reading since May 2015.
