PARIS (REUTERS) - Paris Fashion Week remembered Sonia Rykiel on Monday (Oct 3) with an ode to the flame-haired designer who died this year.

Models opened the show wearing black sweaters bearing the slogan "Rykiel forever" and platform heels with their hair in the style of the French couturier's frizzy mane.

Other nods to Rykiel followed: wide-legged pants, oversized hats and her famous striped knitwear once sported by Brigitte Bardot and Audrey Hepburn.

Rykiel died on Aug 25 after being diagnosed with Parkinson's disease.
