Firemen fighting a blaze that killed eight people, including two children, at an apartment building in north Paris early yesterday. Officials say the fire in the 18th district of the French capital might have been started intentionally. Investigators have taken over the probe after it emerged that the fire broke out in two separate places in the building. Some of the residents reportedly tried to escape through the windows. The blaze, the deadliest in Paris since 2005, took more than 100 firefighters to contain it.
