You hear of couples getting cold feet before the wedding.

Canadian pair Cici and Clement went a step further and posed for pre-wedding photographs amid the frozen landscape of Iceland.

In pictures reminiscent of a wintry fairy tale, the pair, described as "an international jet set power couple", went to an unconventional destination to shoot their breathtaking engagement photographs and video featuring glaciers and volcanic rocks.

The bride-to-be's red dress can be seen fluttering in the wind as she stands on a cliff with waves crash below her.

In another shot, the couple is shown gazing into each other's eyes under the Northern Lights.

The stunning video and photographs were shot by a cinematography and photography company, Life Studios Inc, which is based in Vancouver and Sydney.

Two photographers and two cinematographers made the trip to Iceland with Cici and Clement after the couple were captivated by the beauty of the landscape.

The shoot saw Cici in red, yellow, blue gowns, which seemed to match the scenery perfectly: A dark blue gown to go with the glacier caves, a red one for the black sand beach, and a yellow dress which contrasted beautifully with the pristine snow.

The team received help from an experienced tour guide who led them to the structures during their one-week stay in Iceland.

According to Life Studios Inc., destination shoots are emerging as a trend among today's young couples, and told the Daily Mail: "If you do your research and pick your timing right, you can save a lot."
