As Poland heads to the polls, the EU braces itself for more infighting

A long-brewing rift between European Union members over how to deal with migration is set to be exarcebated this week as Poland holds its parliamentary elections.

The result appears not in doubt. The ruling right-wing nationalist party Law and Justice (PiS) is dominant and largely expected to again be the clear winner of the vote. A fresh mandate for the party is thus likely to reignite arguments over how the EU deals with refugees and migrants.
