Estimated 100,000 people viewed Mandela's body

PRETORIA (AFP) - An estimated 100,000 people saw Nelson Mandela's remains during the three days his body lay in state, the South African government said on Friday.

"The third day closed with over 50,000 paying their respects to our national icon and first democratically elected president of our country," the government said, adding to previous tallies.
