CAIRO (AFP) - Former Egyptian president Hosni Mubarak arrived at a Cairo court on Saturday to face a new trial, after an appeal against the life sentence handed down against him was accepted.

Television footage showed Mubarak, dressed in white and wearing sunglasses, wheeled out of an amublance on a stretcher and taken into Cairo's Police Academy where the trial is being held.
