Earthquake of 6.9 magnitude strikes north-west of Vanuatu

SYDNEY (REUTERS) - An earthquake measuring 6.9 struck north-west of the Pacific island nation of Vanuatu, the US Geological Survey (USGS) said on Wednesday (April 6).

The Pacific Tsunami Warning Centre did not issue a Pacific-wide tsunami warning.

A similarly-sized quake struck the same area on Sunday without causing any damage.
