An art installation - Heartbeat - by French visual artist Charles Petillon suspended in mid-air at the Market Building of Covent Garden in London on Wednesday. The artwork of 100,000 white balloons is 54m long and 12m wide. Incorporating gentle pulsating light to symbolise the beating of a heart, it represents the 19th-century building as the beating heart of the district, said the artist. The project will be on display until Sept 27.
