Argentine president's surgery for blood clot a success: official

BUENOS AIRES (AFP) - Surgery to remove a blood clot on the brain of Argentina's President Cristina Kirchner was successful, a government spokesman said.

"It went very well. The president is in good spirits and is already in her room," said undersecretary for public communication Alfredo Scoccimarro.
