Seventeen dead after bus falls from Peruvian bridge

PERU (REUTERS) - This is the aftermath of a bus crash in Peru after a passenger bus flew off a bridge and killed at least 17 on board.

It was a miracle anyone survived.

About 50 people were reportedly on board the bus when it plummeted to the ground in the central Peruvian province of Chanchamayo.

Local news outlets reported that the bus was travelling from Huancayo to Satipo when it careened more than 45m down a cliff before reaching its final resting place.

Dozens were left injured, including eight who reported to be in critical condition.
