The American carmaker has added its two victorious Le Mans 24 Hours race cars - the 1966 GT40 and the 2016 GT - to the Lego Speed Champions model range. The new kit, which goes on sale from March, includes mini racing car-driver figures, a chequered flag and a trophy.

Ferrari commemorates 50 years in Japan with J50

The J50 is a commemorative Ferrari model to mark the 50th anniversary of the Italian supercar marque in Japan.

Only 10 units of the J50 will be built. Based on the 488 Spider, the bespoke roadster has special targa styling inspired by Ferrari's 1950s competition barchettas and iconic GTO, F40 and F50.

The turbocharged 3.9-litre V8 engine has been tuned to develop 690bhp, which is 20bhp more than in the 488. The cockpit has its own customised trim and stowage space behind the seats for the carbon fibre hard-top.

Rinspeed concept car is a living room on wheels

The Rinspeed Oasis is an autonomous urban electric car with an unusual feature.

Behind its windscreen is a small garden plot, where drivers with green fingers can grow radishes or cultivate bonsai trees.

Making the two-seater cabin even more like a mobile living room are its armchairs, wood floor, multi- purpose storage box and 5K widescreen infotainment system with voice-and-gesture control.

The steering wheel can be folded flat to become a work surface, complete with Microsoft Office software and Skype video telephony.
