Photo Essays: Olympic Warriors 2012
You're used to seeing them in tights, in uniforms, like warriors ready for battle.
So when it came to profiling Singapore's Olympic-bound athletes, the challenge was to portray them differently, a softer yet elegant side, in pictures like never before.
The Straits Times executive photographer Mugilan Rajasegeran decided that capturing the athletes in formal wear - in an athletic setting - might just work.
The idea was to showcase their commitment to sport, while at the same time making them look accomplished and elegant. After all, clothes maketh the man.
