Between, an app hailing from South Korea, lets couples have their own private space on their smartphones. They can record special dates and anniversaries in a shared calendar, save their memories and photos, and chat with their loved one with cute 'stickers' or voice messages.

Couples in a long-distance relationships can also look out for their partner by checking the weather of the location he or she is in, on the home screen of the app.

If you run out of date ideas, there is an 'event box' in the app that offer special deals for couples.

Initially targeted at the South Korean market, Between has been expanding to other markets like Japan and China, with both territories holding 10 per cent of total downloads, and South-east Asia 7 per cent. Since its debut in 2011, Between has been downloaded over five million times and is available on both the Apple App Store and Google Play.
