Ready for The Big Quiz

More than 100 students and teachers attended a briefing at the Singapore Press Holdings News Centre Auditorium on Thursday to prepare for the inaugural The Straits Times-Ministry of Education National Current Affairs Quiz (The Big Quiz).

During the hour-long briefing, teams from 23 pre-university institutions who have signed up for the quiz were told of its rules and regulations, as well as the format for the preliminary round next Wednesday, the quarter-finals, semi-finals and finals.

Ryan Martin Ang, 17, a first-year student at Catholic Junior College, felt that 'life' already 'sufficiently prepared' him for the quiz.

When asked how confident he was for the quiz, he said: 'We'll see.'
