Parliamentary Secretary for Transport Muhammad Faishal Ibrahim has asked all road users to contribute in any way towards efforts to promote road safety.

In a Facebook post Friday morning, Dr Faishal said he was heartened to note a few road users have come forward with ideas - this included a group of parents and young Singaporeans who recently promoted safe cycling via a video.

"Every single contribution counts," he noted. Dr Faishal added that he has been engaging road users since September last year and has also met representatives from Traffic Police, the Land Transport Authority and the Singapore Road Safety Council to discuss how overall road safety here can be improved.

He hopes to share more details when ready. His comments come in the wake of a recent fatal accident in Tampines that saw two young boys killed after being hit by a cement mixer.
