American alternative rock band The Killers pulled off one of the best concerts at the annual Singapore Formula 1 Grand Prix on Saturday night.

Lead frontman Brandon Flowers, guitarist Dave Keuning, guitarist Jake Blanton and drummer Ronnie Vannuci Jr. rocked the full-house crowd at the Padang, blazing through a set list that included hits such as Human, Somebody Told Me and Mr Brightside.

A charming Flowers was smiling throughout the show and engaged the crowd, telling them : "It's nice to finally see you all tonight, they didn't tell me you were all so good looking. Now, let's do some singing!"

Performing for close to an hour and a half, the band ended their set with an early hit, When You Were Young.

Flowers left with this parting shot: "I'm sorry it's taken us 10 years, (to come here) we've had a wonderful time."
