SEOUL (AFP) - North Korea's long-range rocket launch on Wednesday appears to have been a success, with all three stages performing as planned, South Korea's Yonhap news agency said, citing military officials.

"The rocket stages fell on areas in line with its earlier announcement and the launch appears to be successful," the agency quoted the officials as saying.
