Former anti-narcotics chief Ng Boon Gay said the Corrupt Practices Investigation Bureau had tried to pressure him into admitting to corruption.

Taking the stand for a second day in his trial, Ng said CPIB deputy director of investigations Teng Khee Fatt had asked him to plead guilty, capitalising on his father's death and the stress from intense media scrutiny in early this year.

But he stood firm, insisting he was not corrupt.

Ng also told the court on Tuesday that Ms Cecilia Sue had asked him a few times how much he loved her on a scale of 1 to 10. He would always say about 6 or 7, he said.

Ng is accused of obtaining sexual favours from the former IT sales executive on four occasions last year, in exchange for helping to further the business interests of her then-employers.
