In the wee hours of March 8, air traffic controllers in Ho Chi Minh got ready to receive the Beijing-bound flight MH370, but contact never came. At what point did they realise that things went awry? And what could have happened after?
The second chapter of The Straits Times Web Special tries to piece together the puzzle.
Titled Lost: Untold Stories of Malaysia Airlines MH370, the web special zooms in on details of the plane's flight journey.
Written in six chapters, it retells the incident from March 8 when the Boeing 777-200 vanished from the radar with 239 people on board in the wee hours to the current search for the plane in the southern Indian Ocean.
The multimedia package includes a video of the plane vanishing on the flight tracker that night as well as CCTV footage of the pilot and co-pilot clearing customs at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport.
