Certificate of entitlement (COE) premiums rose across the board on Wednesday for the second consecutive tender.
The largest increases were in the luxury car and open categories, where prices for both breached the $90,000 mark for the first time since February. For cars above 1,600cc category, or luxury cars, premiums rose by 8.4 per cent to $93,500. Open COEs, which can be used for any vehicle but end up mainly for cars, jumped by 7.9 per cent to $93,889.
The premium for smaller cars up to 1,600cc rose by 1.5 per cent to end at $85,000.
Commercial vehicle COE premiums rose by 0.4 per cent to a new record high of $76,310, while the COE premium for motorcycles climbed by 15 per cent to $1,961.
