1. Hashida
Fixed prices at Hashida Sushi means you get to enjoy its great sushi without worrying about the bill.
Upmarket Japanese restaurant Sushi Mitsuya, like Shinji in Raffles Hotel and Sushi Ichi in Scotts Square, is a fine-dining sushi restaurant - albeit slightly cheaper - that offers only omakase sets.
Offerings at Imperial Treasure Shanghai come in interesting flavours and textures.
4. Blue Lotus
Many restaurants here have come up with their own version of chilli crab and many are good. But none has left as memorable an impression on me as the chilli crab at Blue Lotus Eating House.

6. Burnt Ends
Not all the dishes at roast and grill restaurant Burnt Ends worked, but when they did, they were marvellous.
Italian chef Gabriel Fratini is back after 20 years with a no-menu concept for his new restaurant.
Original and traditional offerings come in a theatrical setting at Le Restaurant.
