SINGAPORE - Another Internet service provider has entered the football pitch, joining rivals StarHub and M1 in offering a selection of English Premier League (EPL) matches for $19.90 a month.
On Friday, ViewQwest announced its deal with Eleven Sports Network, Britain-based sports content online streaming provider. ViewQwest customers who sign up for a two-year 1Gbps or 2Gbps fibre broadband plan gets six months worth of subscription with Eleven for free. ViewQwest's 1Gbps plan costs $49.90 a month, and its 2Gpbs plan costs $69.90 a month.
Eleven's package offers three live EPL games and three delayed telecasts - six different matches altogether each week - on its website at elevensports.sg or via the Eleven Sports app, which can be downloaded on Google Play and the Apple App Store. Eleven also carries other sports content including Italian Serie A TIM, Campeonato Brasileiro Série A and the Scottish Professional Football League.
Customers with the ViewQwest Smart TV box can also stream the football matches directly to their TV as the box will be loaded with the Eleven Sports app.
Vignesa Moorthy, chief executive officer of ViewQwest said: "The rules of the game are always changing. With this arrangement, our subscribers can now enjoy premium live sporting action without having to pay for a separate pay TV subscription for six months."
