SINGAPORE - StarHub has deepened the discounts for its line-only mobile plans, following the rollout of discounted line-only plans by rivals M1 and Singtel.
Previously, StarHub's line-only customers get a 20 per cent discount on their monthly subscription and the rates are valid with a one-year subscription. But, from Saturday (Nov 7), the discount will rise to 50 per cent, with the cheapest line-only plan costing $13.95 a month with no contract needed. This plan comes with 300MB of data, 100 minutes of outgoing calls and 500 SMS.
Its mid-tier line-only plan, that comes with 4GB of data, 350 minutes of outgoing calls and 1,200 SMS, will cost $31.45 at month.
"Our newly enhanced SIM-only plans, first launched in 2013, are now more attractive than ever," said Mr Michael Chang, assistant vice-president of mobility at StarHub.

Singtel responded in September with its $20 starter pack that comes with 3GB of local data, 2GB of Singtel Wi-Fi at 550 locations, and free incoming calls and SMS.
