SINGAPORE - Korean tech giant LG will be launching its latest LG G5 flagship Android smartphone, along with an accompanying suite of accessories, from April.

Powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 64-bit processor, the 5.3-inch LG G5 offers a 2,560 x 1,440 pixel quad high definition display, a 16MP and 8MP dual rear camera, along with Qualcomm's latest Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging feature.

But the most unique aspect of the LG G5 is its accessory slot, which allow users to attach optional upgrade modules, also known as LG Friends, to give the phone a hardware boost.

The LG CAM Plus module offers physical camera buttons for power, shutter, record and zoom, and it comes with an additional 1,200 mAh battery for the LG G5.

The LG Hi-Fi Plus with B&O PLAY module is a portable Hi-Fi digital to analog converter (DAC) that turns the LG G5 into a 32-bit music playback device.

Both these modules are available at a launch price of $274 (Usual Price $456) from April 16 to May 31.

The LG G5 will go on sale in April, at a price of $988, and LG will be including an extra battery and charger, worth S$168, while stocks last.

The LG 360 CAM is a 360-degree camera with two 13MP wide angled cameras that can record 360-degree video content. Powered by a 1,200 mAh battery and offering microSD expandable memory on top of the built-in 4GB storage, the camera is capable of recording 2K video with 5.1 surround sound.

Those who purchase both of these Friends in the month of May pay $590, instead of the usual $946.
