Ever wished that your iPhone 7's camera has a wider angle?

You can have that capability with the Ztylus Revolver Lens Camera Kit for Apple iPhone 7 or 7 Plus (the version tested).

The kit consists of a case and the RV-3 Revolver Lens attachment.

The RV-3 is a circular lens attachment with three lenses - fisheye, wide-angle/macro and circular polariser - that you rotate and flip out to use with the iPhone's rear camera.

The black polycarbonate, brass- accented case has a circular hole at its back to allow the RV-3 to be screwed on and attached to it.

Except for the mute switch, all of the iPhone's buttons are covered by the case. There is a slight raised lip in front to protect the display. The case itself feels really sturdy and looks to be able to protect your iPhone from a few knocks.

As you might expect, the RV-3 is pretty big - you can prop up the iPhone 7 Plus to stand on its side at almost 90 degrees when it is attached.

If you are not attaching the RV-3 to the case, the kit comes with a flat circular attachment for covering up the back of the case.

This attachment comes with an integrated metal kickstand that props the iPhone up at a more gentle 60-degree landscape viewing orientation.

However, I had difficulties fixing and removing both attachments. I ended up leaving the RV-3 on the case most of the time.

Thankfully, it is really easy to flip out the lenses. Rotate the RV-3's dial clockwise to get to the lens you want. Make sure you align the lens initials - for example, FL for fisheye lens - to a dot on the RV-3, and you will be able to flip out the lens easily.

All the lenses are made of optical glass housed in an aluminium and polished brass holder. It matches the brass-accent of the case and looks really nice.

The fisheye lens is probably the one that most people will use, as it provides a 170-degree field of view. Great for capturing landscape or close-by buildings.

The wide-angle lens provides a narrower field of view, but is still around two times wider than the iPhone 7 Plus' 28mm focal length. This lens also doubles as the macro lens, whereby you can take photos of objects from only 3cm. The macro shots taken with the lens pick up surprisingly great details.

Those who are not photography buffs will probably be perplexed by the presence of the circular polariser. By rotating it, you can darken skies, remove light reflections from water and reduce glare. You will be surprised by the results you can get using the polariser.

On the downside, the RV-3 adds a huge bulge to the case, making it almost impossible to put the iPhone into the pocket. This is exacerbated by the fact it is not easy to remove and re-attach it.

In addition, I wish it hasa zoom lens like a 5x zoom that will allow users to take pictures of that squirrel in the distance. But that will mean even more bulk.

•Verdict: Apart from its bulk, the Ztylus Revolver Lens Camera Kit is a great addition for those who want more creativity and latitude in their iPhone photography.
