Garmin Forerunner 225

If you hate using a chest strap heart-rate monitor, Garmin's new Forerunner 225 might be for you.

It is Garmin's first Global Positioning System running watch with a wrist-based heart-rate monitor. The Forerunner 225 has an optical sensor that measures your heart rate by shining a light into your skin and measuring the amount of light returned. The device can capture fitness data even when you are running indoors, and doubles as a fitness tracker by counting the steps taken and calculating the calories burnt.

The high-speed signal processing and memory chip work together to provide super-slow-motion video capture of up to 960 frames per second, ultra high-definition video recording and shutter speeds of up to 1/32,000 second.

The pocket-sized camera uses a 24-70mm f/1.8-2.8 lens with a tiltable 3-inch display and built-in electronic viewfinder.

This is not only a hi-res digital audio player, but also a USB digital-to-analogue convertor when linked to a computer.

It comes in a brushed aluminium alloy casing with a 2.4-inch high-definition display. Its dual card slots support two 128GB microSD cards, so you can store more hi-res compilations.

Griffin WatchStand

Have an Apple Watch? Buy Griffin's new WatchStand. There are few ways more elegant to charge your new treasure.

The stand displays and charges your Apple Watch in either vertical or horizontal orientation on a sleek black pedestal. Wrap the charging cable around the stand and hide it under a cover, while resting the charger puck securely on an angled cradle at the top of the stand.

The raised lip at the front of the base is for resting your iPhone.
